t was a cool Oct. morning in 1962 when Johan, Isabella and  Sergio met in their favorite coffee house, nestled under the shadows of a newly constructed space needle

They were transplants to a new country, Sergio, from Brazil, Isabella, from England, and Johan from the Netherlands, but it was their shared love of the game of soccer that formed their bond.  Sergio liked his coffee brewed with beans that produce tastes of nuts and chocolate.  Isabella, although drank coffee would have preferred tea.  Johan wanted his cup of Joe straight black but not bitter.

They had different tastes yet a shared craving for caffeine to break through their own lingering fog of each morning – and then perhaps another dose to renew the buzz before lunchtime. It also helped them think and dream clearly.
Theirs was a dream of a field full of neighbors and newcomers, friends and strangers, kids and teens learning and loving the game along side adults both new to the sport and with football roots extending past multiple generations and across continents. Some would aspire to make a name for themselves, and others just wanted to be part of a club, of a movement that cut across social strata, languages, and abilities. They had a passion for growing the game, and in time they would – and they found joy all along the way.
Soon enough, their dream – their vision – would come to fruition. On Saturdays and Sundays and summer evenings the pitch would be full of world citizens at play. The game had not only grown but spread far beyond the city borders to surrounding suburbs and, farther still, farmlands and coastlines. It all started with a love for the game and several cups of coffee.

Today we are bringing back the memories of this time and the reflections of the many people who were involved and continue to be involved in Coffee Town FC with a line of distinctive and fashionable clothing and related items. We hope that those who wear and own our merchandise will reflect on the thought that it was the love for the sport of soccer that brought Coffee Town FC to fruition.

The primary purpose of Coffee Town FC is to financially provide “in-need” youth with a pathway of opportunities and success through soccer.
